JOIN US AND HELP!National Donut Day was created in honor of the women who crossed the ocean during WWI to serve donuts and other baked goods to soldiers on the front lines.
"It's a simple act that says so much. A mothering act - to feed another soul with love. It's more than the donuts but donuts are also fun and childlike! To be child like is to be open-hearted enough to play with one another and to cry with one another. To say with innocent conviction: No, this isn't right! Let's help each other! That's what National Donut Day is to me. In 2018, I decided I would honor the memory of the women who went overseas by fundraising for veterans suffering from PTSD and having some fun with my community on National Donut Day! Please join me for fun and fundraising! Let's give what we can to Race to Erase 22, an organization whose mission is to offer a simple act of kindness to help those who are in the trenches, although it may be a brief moment, an important and sometimes powerful interruption of a soldier’s day to let them know they are not alone. We have decided to join forces with Race to Erase 22 in fighting veteran PTSD and suicide. Please consider making a donation of any amount. All proceeds will go to Race to Erase 22." MEET US!On June 6, 2020, Rekha Sharma and a number of exciting celebrities will once again meet at a Donut shop for signings, photo ops and other exciting fundraising initiatives benefiting Race to Erase 22. Be sure to check back regularly for more information!
